Jillian’s love of social and cultural history shapes her creative work.
She holds a PhD in ancient literacy and oral tradition from the University of Victoria and a master’s degree in publishing from Simon Fraser University. She’s been an academic editor for more than two decades, and a university lecturer in the fields of history, writing, editing, and publishing. By day, she is the senior policy analyst in the legislative drafting office of British Columbia.
Jillian lives with family and various other wild animals in a small, unruly house in a large, unruly garden on southern Vancouver Island.
